Things that happen when you are Jobless

Things that happen when you are Jobless

Just recently, I left my job for the multiple reasons including giving a higher examination and seeking a new job. Once my exams were done with, I started the tedious process of searching for a new job. I am very sure, many of you have gone through this at some point in your life & those of you will surely relate to this post.

Things that happen when you are jobless, & by jobless i mean, unemployed (after leaving a job or an internship)  and having nothing to do (basically, being a Lukkha).

1. You are Super Free- The entire time, 24*7 you are so free that people wont even require to ask you the mandatory "are you free" question before making plans.

2. Spending Time Becomes a Task- You try to cut out times of the day as much as you can. You go to bed late & you wake up even late- & the once a while day when you wake up tad early- you feel doomed by the thought of what to do for these extra 4 hours. You start exercising for no reason, you watch random TV shows and YouTube becomes your soulmate.

3. You Desperately Await The Weekends- While your weekdays are spent away wiling time; you secretly desperately await the weekends- where you know people will be free to actually make plans with you. Weekends are you saviors- you await them as much as a 1% battery awaits the charger. Weekends are your only times where you feel joyous & try to fit in all plans- as much as you can.

4. Everybody Suddenly Becomes Busy- Cosmically, the stars are against you and every single person you know right from your friends to your family, suddenly turn extremely busy. As if everybody was waiting for you to be free so that they could get busy. Friends suddenly have more different friends, boyfriend/girlfriend suddenly has excessive work and family suddenly has some family meet ups or family commitments towards the extended clan.

5. People All Over are Getting New Jobs- Facebook suddenly is full of "Started Working at" and every time you log into LinkedIn, at least 10 people have new jobs. Friends are pulling job offers and giving interviews while you sit there and struggle with your Naukri profile, blankly thinking if Naukri has a secret invisibility key that you probably clicked.

6. There Are No Good Events Happening - While you were busy, there was tremendous amazing stuff happening all over the world. But the moment you got free, everything stopped. No city festivals, no concerts, no film festivals- hell not even good movie releases, no functions- just nothing. Like I said, the stars work against you.

 7. Mind Blocks- This is the period where even your mind decides to take a break & you cannot think of anything new to post on your blog (& so you post psychotic articles like this one), neither does it let you do anything from your other hobbies. It just shuts down & decides to not help you.

8. Nothing Excites You- You are just so bored that nothing at all excites you. Be it watching your favorite shows (for which you waited while you had your exams), be it Facebook or be it reading your favorite books. Everything feels boring under the light of your forever boredom.

9. Sleep Becomes Your Best Friend - sleeping becomes your new best friend and your newest hobby. You can sleep for hours at a stretch. Sleeping proves to be your soulmate. It helps you shut down from the boring and annoying world and takes you to an altogether different dreamy world. Sleeping- the best healer.

I am sure many of you have gone through this phase.

While I continue to be a lukkha and write this, hogging down some food- I hope I soon get to change my status! ;)

Till then, hail the lukkha community all over!

[P.S. If you all know of job offers, please leave a message ;) *lols* and *hi-fi’s self* ]
